Launch of Samantha Crawford Productions

SEPTEMBER 2025

Samantha is currently producing a new opera; Slave, on modern day slavery with composer Roxanna Panufnik, director Keith Warner and librettist Rhidian Brook. Samantha will also perform a principal role in the opera. Slave will be premiered in 2029 as a co-production with Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in partnership with Samantha Crawford Productions.

World premiere and Freedom Cries Out album

JUNE 2025

Samantha gave the world premiere of a new song cycle, The Names of the earth, by Raymond Yiu at Holy Sepulchre’s Church, accompanied by Berrak Dyer.  This song cycle forms part of a new programme, Freedom Cries Out, which will be recorded as Samantha’s second solo album with Delphian Records.

FEBRUARY 2025

Birmingham Opera Company’s production of New Year has been shortlisted for The Opera and Music Theatre Award. Samantha played the role of Regan in the production, which was directed by Keith Warner and conducted by Alpesh Chauhan with the CBSO.

Samantha has received awards to support a newly commissioned song cycle, The Names of the Earth, by composer Raymond Yiu. The song cycle will be created in collaboration with writers from the other side of hope literary magazine. The Names of the Earth forms part of Samantha’s new recital programme; Freedom Cries Out, telling stories from real refugee accounts.
